Every 4 years, in June, the Special Olympics hosts the USA Games, where athletes and coaches from all 50 states and the Caribbean come together to compete and celebrate. This is an opportunity for the athletes to show their dedication, perseverance and remarkable abilities on and off the field.

In 2022, Area 19's basketball team, the Slammin' Clams, was chosen to represent Special Olympics Virginia. 

They are our champions for a more inclusive world, where we all Shine As One.
