Arthur is the Athlete Representative for Area 19. He has been an athlete for Special Olympics since 1994, playing basketball, bocce ball, bowling, and track and field. From Assawoman, VA, Art currently lives in Chincoteague, VA.
Revealing the Champion in All of Us - #ShineAsOne
In 2022, the Area 19 basketball team was invited to play in the USA Games. Art was asked what attending the USA Games meant to him. Art's reply? "Team comes first." He mentioned having fun, enjoying every moment there, and lastly, winning games.
Art is a champion!
Art is considered a father-figure of the team; he looks over everybody. We think this Athlete Profile video by Special Olympics VA embodies that perfectly.
